Thank you enormously for posting such a wonderful interview. The world has lost a truly exceptional musicologist. I listened extensively to his musical outputs especially in terms of his deep collaboration with Marcus Miller. Secondly, in my humble opinion, his music showcase, that is , Night Music , was probably the best musical presentation ever spotlighted on American TV, period. The spectrum of musicians presented on Night Music was off the charts. Last but not the least, if you really want to appreciate the enormity of his prolific talents and accomplishments, check out the albums " Songs from the night before " featuring great Dean Brown as well as the album that he recorded with Bob Berg notwithstanding all his recordings with Marcus Miller.

Love Sanborn's music. I've had his albums since the 70s. I'm so glad we still have his music. RIP, David....

She died of COVID19 complications?! Well one thing I know is that the true reason of her death will be a secret don’t know what’s the mystery behind her death but may she rest in peace! As her song goes, you’re an over comer but unfortunately she didn’t!

Do you have permission by the relatives to make that video? If not, it seems somewhat immoral to exploit a strangers suffering for your benefit, especially since you just copied the videos and put them together. And that you write that you can speed up the video by 25% is imho even more immoral. "She is not suffering quickly enough, speed it up!".

My honest observation is the sound quality of the late David Sanborn during his latter years getting poorer due to his ailment that affected his performance. RIP

I think it was around 1984, living in germany close to the border of switzerland , I taped the Swiss Jazz Festival Bern - as a guitarist I have just picked up the Alto & started to seriously get into Jazz - and there he was with hiram bullock on guitar, Marcus Miller on Bass & I think Don Grolnick on Keyboard and others!!!! He had a massive influence on my desicion to get a musician - „straight to the Heart“ to say it in his words…. I still have the tape & still Love it ! Mr. Sanborn, so many thanks for your music & Inspiration, may u Rest In Peace🙏

The first concert I ever took one of my sons to was David Sanborn. We flew from Oklahoma to Denver about 20 years ago. He inspired both of us to begin playing saxophone. I will miss this wonderful musician.

I feel for you, Mediusa: Grammy award winner. I ended up in a Mental Health Care rehab hospital from church life. And most Christians I knew do not care about you at all. If you have a clinical breakdown. And I have major Anxiety Deep Depression. You are a wonderful soul. And you will be in the eternal Heaven up above. You are going to be in the Light of True Grace. You are a Light in the Heaven sky now. Peace and Rest. Go with the accepted Light.
